How This Calculator Works

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the most accurate widely available formula for estimating calorie needs. It calculates your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), then multiplies by an activity factor to estimate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).
